The uprising is being streamed, TikTok’d, tweeted, and downloaded. In response and by popular request, I’m teaching a new online workshop on strategic activism within the massive surveillance state. This workshops provides conceptual frameworks to help people develop tactical relations to online activism, by making clear the immense scale of the current day technosphere, the conditions of extraction, surveillance, and dataveillance across social media, and the overwhelming rise of online and offline hate via online channels, while providing direct examples of tactics one can easily incorporate to increase their repertoire of interventions, and gain some measure of control over their exposure to data extraction.
