Artist Ben Simmons and Praba Pilar will host a Techno-Tamalada at Providence House in Downtown Oakland. We will be sharing how to make vegan versions of African American Hot Tamales of the Mississippi Delta and Mexican rajas tamales, and sharing food, dialogue and ideas on the technologies we want in our lives and in the Bay Area. Providence House provides subsidized apartments especially built for people living on a fixed income living with HIV/AIDS or other disabilities.
